A sequin skirt is a fun, festive piece, and one in a classic pencil shape like will flatter any figure. A Night In

If your plans are more low-key, red jeans will keep you looking festive without being too much. Sydney and I started BALBOA Jewelry together in 2000 out of a love for vintage jewelry and fashion. We spent an amazing couple of years traveling all over the country, finding materials, promoting the collection, and mostly just having a lot of fun.  Sydney had a way of making the people around her feel special and loved.  Time spent with Sydney, whether is was work or play, was time spent smiling and enjoying life.

Over the next few wonderful years, we enjoyed building the brand and creating a presence in high end boutiques and stores across the country, including Barneys New York.  Balboa Jewelry was also featured in Elle and Glamour magazines. We enjoyed this success and were fulfilled because we were designing, creating and developing a business while doing what we loved! 

Sydney was an unbelievably magnetic personality, beloved by everyone with whom she came in contact.  This necklace was created to represent her dynamic, bright, wonderful life… and with the hope that our donation to KINDERMOURN will help her family and families like hers manage the loss of a loved one.

I am looking for a touch of color to add to the mostly neutral, very clean design of the site.

i love this muted color palette that still has a PUNCH

this icy blue and dusty rose would compliment the grey tones of the type and logo

The above two palettes seem more obvious with my love of blues and greys and muted tons, but I am toying around with some colors with a little more impact.

 

what do you think??  stick with something tried and true to my style?

We stayed at Chateau Marmont, which is one of my favorite hotels. There just happened to be a little fashion show (ha!!  going on while we were there…  2011 Vogue CFDA Fashion Fund Fashion Show & Tea.  The hotel was a buzz with people making the lobby and garden patio look like absolute perfection.  It was a gorgeous day for the event!  If only they could have saved two seats between Anna Wintour and Frederic Fekkai for the hubs and me, our trip would have been beyond my wildest.
